Today I Was Thinking
Well, I was thinking about talking about baseball season, but I’m really no expert when it comes to sports so that subject is out the window. I’ve got a friend over at searchingbutnotlost.tumblr.com that does a random musing spot every now and then, maybe I could do something similar to that… since we are effectively the same person this may work.
Today I was thinking:
- Everyone should have to work in a restaurant at least once, nothing crosses social boundaries quite like working with high school kids, newlyweds, college students and burnouts.
- The NCAA recruiting process for basketball and football is the most ridiculous process conceived by man. Hundreds of thousands of grown men hinge their hopes and dreams on 18 year old kids’ college choice. There is also an entire industry devoted to keeping us constantly updated on their most recent leanings… stupid… and I love it.
- Hobby Lobby is the worst place in the world. How can one store be so full of stuff and never have what I actually want? I also hate fabric stores.
- Finding new music to listen to is great, but it is far too overwhelming to me to stay up to date. I have over 40 gigs of music and I have probably listened to half of it. Before I buy any more music I need to listen to everything I already have… which will most likely be never.
- Living in Waco during the summer is like living in a Gorilla’s armpit.
